I just came across Lil Wayne's How To Love entry in the Top 100 Music Hit Chart, and was impressed with how he has, in my opinion, improved when it comes to singing. Or maybe I just really like it when a rapper doesn't rap, but sings the lyrics instead.
I was just looking for more songs to download, with the intention of updating my playlist, and that led me to the discovery of this rapper's new song. He amazed me this time because I can now understand what he says. Bad grammar didn't stop me from hitting Download and I really harassed the replay button. It's because the melody has truly captured my ears. After all, he's a rapper who's trying to sing just like what Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kanye West do.
The song also caught me off-guard as I didn't expect Lil Wayne to sing a love song by himself. His was the voice I just listened to all because he collaborated with the artists I like. But this time, he made it to my playlist for I can now understand what he says--he's talking about how it is to love.
The lyrics show how he sympathizes with ladies who entrust their hearts to someone, but get their tickers broken in the end. He somehow tells every woman that there will always be that one man who's not one of those crooks, just wanting to steal her heart. Someone who thinks that she's beautiful, far from the usual. And hearing advices from a guy's perspective always gets me every time. I now wonder whom did he compose this song for.♥
